Terms and Conditions for the 2021 Indigital Minecraft Education Challenge 


(a)          These Terms of Service are intended to form a legal agreement between Indigital Pty Ltd (ABN 18 162 666 935), of 17 Oldham Court, Phillip, in the Australian Capital Territory (“Indigital”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and the school or organisation on whose behalf an application in the 2021 Indigital Minecraft Education Challenge (“Challenge“) is being submitted (“you”, “your”).

(b)          By submitting an application in the Challenge, you indicate your acceptance of these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy posted on the Indigital website (an “Agreement“).

(c)           If you are an individual entering into the Agreement on behalf of your school or organisation, you represent that you have the legal authority to bind that entity.


(a)          Entry to the Challenge is open to Australian primary and secondary schools and organisations only.

(b)          Only one entry may be made for each school or organisation. If more than one entry is made on your behalf, Indigital will only consider the entry submitted first.

(c)           To enter the Challenge, the Challenge Application Form must be completed and returned to Indigital in accordance with the instructions provided upon registering. Incomplete entries will not be considered by Indigital.

(d)          You may submit an entry to the Challenge between 5:00 pm on 24 June 2021 and 4:00 pm on 20 August 2021. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered by Indigital.

(e)          You are not required to pay an entry fee.

(f)            The decision of the judging panel is final and cannot be appealed or contested.

(g)          Prizes cannot be exchanged for any other good or for money.

3.            YOUR OBLIGATIONS

3.1         Finalists and winners

(a)          If you are selected as a finalist in the Challenge:

(i)            You or a representative of your organisation or school must attend the Award Announcement Ceremony on 1 September 2021 in person. If the Award Announcement Ceremony cannot proceed in person due to Covid-19 restrictions, you will be required to attend remotely as directed by Indigital. Failure to attend, either in person or remotely, may result in your application being withdrawn.

(ii)          Indigital may ask a representative of your school or organisation to attend a particular venue to make a presentation of your entry. If the presentation cannot proceed in person due to Covid-19 restrictions, you may be required to make any presentation remotely as directed by Indigital. Indigital will provide reasonable audio-visual support for your presentation.

(b)          If you are selected as a finalist or winner of the Challenge:

(i)            you will be asked to do a short presentation about the progress of your school towards the goals of the Challenge in a medium agreed with Indigital; and

(ii)          you may be asked from time to time to write a blog, share a story, present at one of our events, provide us with the progress made by your school or organisation with respect to your entry or do anything else reasonably requested by Indigital in respect of your entry.

3.2         Licence

(a)          You grant to Indigital and all supporting Partners (including, but not limited to, the Telstra Foundation, Telstra Purple,  Microsoft, the NAIDOC Committee and the National Library of Australia) a perpetual, non-transferable, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence (including a right to sub-license) to use, modify, communicate, publish and adapt any materials (including  Minecraft Worlds and stories) created as a part of the Challenge for the purposes of Indigital and Partners marketing and branding activities. You warrant to Indigital that you have the right to grant this licence.


(a)          You warrant that you own all intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, trademark rights and copyright) in the materials submitted as part of your application and that any use of those materials by Indigital and its Partners will not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights.

(b)          You will obtain any written moral consents required (other than in relation to acts of false attribution) from all authors of the material submitted in connection with the Challenge to the use of that material by Indigital and its Partners, prior to the application being submitted.
